Return Policy

To return items purchased Pet Planet Outlet’s website, follow these steps below and our customer service representatives will be happy to help you. Terms of our standard policy (including but not limited to "non-returnable items", "restocking fee", "carrier contracts", etc.) apply.

Pet Planet Outlet strives to make the return process a simple and straightforward one. We understand that returning products is often a frustrating experience. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will gladly help you to return your product. We will do our best to process your return quickly. Please follow our return guidelines below.

You will have 14 days from the purchase date to return an item that has been approved by Pet Planet Outlet. You must request a Return Merchandise Authorization # by email (returns@petplanetoutlet.net). If you fail to return an item within the 14 days from the original purchase date, the RMA number will expire. Please note that your RMA number must be written clearly and printed on the outside of the shipping box in order for your return to be processed for either store credit or a refund. 

Include the return label (sent to you in the original shipment) with your product and indicate the reason for the return. We recommend you return items via UPS ground or insured USPS for proof of delivery. We also recommend that you reuse the original shipping carton and packing materials. 

Include all original packing materials, manuals and accessories with the product to avoid any additional fees. Please allow 14-21 days. Store credit and refunds usually post to either your account or the credit card within 72 hours once approved. Refunds will be credited to the original purchasing credit card account number only. Pet Planet Outlet will not accept a return if there is not a valid RMA

We will cover all reasonable and customary ground shipping fees if the product was damaged or the wrong item was shipped. If the product was not damaged or the wrong item was shipped, you are responsible for all shipping charges. 

Please do not return items COD. Any charges incurred by Pet Planet Outlet for COD shipments will be subtracted from the amount of the returned item. You will be returned the difference. If the COD cost exceeds the value of the returned product, the credit card used for the original purchase will be charged for the remaining balance. 

Opened items can be exchanged for the identical item but cannot be returned for refund

Returning Items:

• Use the original shipping carton and packing materials, if possible

• Include all manuals and accessories

• Include order# and reason for return


Non-Returnable Items 

Some items cannot be returned, including:

• Labor, delivery, and/or installation services

• Consumable items such as pet food, treats, aquarium salt

• Items that are damaged or abused

• Items that are missing accessories

• Etched or otherwise personalized items   


 Restocking Fee: A restocking fee is applicable in some product categories unless the item is defective, or if the fee is prohibited by law. All returns are subjected to a restocking fee up to 20% 

All Pet Outlet discretion: Pet Planet Outlet reserves the right to deny any return. Pet Planet Outlet reserves the right to determine the percentage of the restocking fee (up to 20%) for all returns. Thank you for choosing to purchase your pet products at Pet Planet Outlet.
